Queen Victoria Street, London is the location of the new headquarters building for the Salvation Army. The brief included feature lighting to the internal structure, which is visible from street level through the glazed façade. Light Bureau was also involved in the lower ground floor cafe, ground floor meeting room suite and key circulation areas. The scheme exhibits a feature chapel ‘pod’ constructed from amber diffused glass, designed by Carpenter / Lowings. The chapel is internally lit and visually floats at first floor level.
