Project: Claridge's Hotel Refurbishment
Light Bureau recently helped breathe new life into a series of rooms, junior suites and the third floor piano suite at legendary London landmark, Claridge's Hotel, providing architectural lighting design services and working collaboratively with fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg.
Retaining the very best of the original features, von Furstenberg has created bespoke fabrics and furniture with her iconic prints and bold colours. Light Bureau developed a simple, empathic lighting design solution that subtly contrasts and complements the bold décor.
The lighting design utilizes integrated low energy light fittings within vanity units for compliance with Part L, whilst striking Murano glass floor, table & wall mounted luminaires were specially designed providing flexibility and a high-class aesthetic. A state of the art lighting control system interfaces with the audio visual, reception and concierge call systems providing flexibility and remote control whilst ensuring energy usage is minimised.
June saw the launch of this stunning collection and the fashion pack was out in force to celebrate the design collaboration with Claridge's. News of the re-launched suites has been covered worldwide with features in the likes of Vogue, the Financial Times, the New York Post, the Evening Standard and DVF Online to name but a few.
