Project: Bob Bob Ricard
Evoking the yesteryear glamour of travel, Bob Bob Ricard has recently opened to critical acclaim in London’s Soho district. David Collins Studio created the style and interior calling on Light Bureau to assist with the lighting design. The objective of achieving good lighting to enhance the diner’s experience was foremost, but a cohesive approach to integration and finish were also required. Most of the ceiling and table lights are either bespoke or significantly adapted and a special call-system was designed using wireless technology to allow diners to ring for attention and to see their number appear on the transport-like analogue display panel over the bar.
The restaurant is proving to be a phenomenal success and is always busy due of course primarily to the quality of the food and service, but also in no small part to the interior and lighting.
Bob Bob Ricard has recently won an award for best new design at the Time Out Eating & Drinking Awards 2009. For more information on the awards, please click here.
