Project:Light Bureau provided lighting design services for a heritage project with enormous cultural importance to the City of London. Christopher Wren and Robert Hooke’s Monument to the Fire of London at Pudding Lane was a project that required a delicate and sympathetic approach. Due to the tight confines of the space, bespoke, low energy LED luminaires were used throughout to highlight key architectural features whilst remaining almost invisible to the eye. Where possible these are integrated into the architecture or fixed discreetly to the balustrade spindles. A splash of colour was incorporated into the cellar laboratory at the base of the tower as well as inside the urn at the top to add a touch of drama to the landmark.
