Light Bureau have recently completed architectural lighting design services to the reception space at 95 Gresham Street, a new speculative office development by Standard Life and designed by Rolfe Judd Architects. The space includes a feature wall internally illuminated with colour changing LED's and a further feature stone wall illuminated with simple compact fluorescent wash lights.
Light Bureau chose different lighting treatments to divide the reception space into smaller 'zones' aiding orientation and creating contrast, drama and feature through lighting.
Mindful of the current economic climate Light Bureau have designed a cost -effective lighting solution with low capital cost and low through-life cost. The scheme comprises long life low energy light sources which require limited maintenance.
Light Bureau's Paul Nulty is very happy with the final lighting scheme "whilst very simple lighting treatments have been used we have provided a low cost solution that ticks all the boxes in terms of the requirements of a speculative office reception. We've achieved a maintenance friendly, low energy solution without compromising the aesthetic of the space".
