In so many ways a unique experience, this remains one of the best fit-outs on which we have worked. The client embraced the design and was always encouraging to the design team and also to the contractor.
Working with interior designers Aukett and their in-house engineers, we collaborated on a design approach which would encapsulate Diageo's philosophy of valuing their staff above everything and striving to create exemplary environments in which to work, to encourage new employees to join and to retain the talent they already had, also to demonstrate to their own clients the values they held dear.
The design team's approach was to reinforce brand through materials and lighting and to try to avoid literal signage and labelling, in so doing the building is intuitive to use and the response of the staff has been extremely positive and enthusiastic.
