10 Bloomsbury Way

Completed in 2015 for London & Regional, this commercial building occupies a singularly commanding spot where New Oxford Street meets Bloomsbury Way. At it’s narrowest point, the wedge shaped building is visible from Centre Point and has long elevations to both major roads.

Light Bureau worked with architects Buckley Gray Yeoman on the ground floor and common areas, also the external feature lighting which includes the second storey window bays and imposing entrance portal and oriel window.

The interior entrance space is designed to feel like a hotel lobby and there is a café and waiting area. To create drama, the structure is strongly illuminated and general internal lighting is achieved by use of narrow beam accent lights at high level. The double height reclaimed timber wall screens are bold interior statements and are lit with grazing lights to reveal the patina and grain of the wood.
