We’re very excited to announce that Light Bureau are part of the winning team selected to develop a new masterplan for Granåsen winter sports arena in Trondheim, Norway.

The development of the new masterplan is happening in conjunction with Trondheim’s application to become the host of the 2023 FIS Nordic World Ski Championship. The goal of the project is not only to create a great winter sports arena, but develop Granåsen into an excellent destination for summer sports and cultural events.

We’re looking forward to the collaboration with Pir II, tegn_3, ÅF Reinertsen, Movement Strategies and Studio AKKA on this exciting project.

The Professional Lighting Design Convention or PLDC is a biannual conference for practitioners within the architectural lighting industry. For 2015 PLDC is being held in Rome at the end of October, with around 70 presentations being given over three days. Two of these presentations by Light Bureau team members, Paul Traynor Practice Principal and Joe Vose Senior Designer are giving a joint presentation, and Arve Olsen Co-Founder of Light Bureau Scandinavia is also presenting. As part of the build up to PLDC we were asked to take part in an interview through Twitter or a Twitterview, with Diamond Sponsor iGuzzini. The interview raised some really good points, and also gave a chance for people to get to know us, and Light Bureau better, so we wanted to publish the full interview in long form here. more
